Formnext 2024 in Review
Formnext 2024 is over, and we are excited to share our experiences from one of our favorite events to attend. This fantastic event, centered on additive manufacturing, brings industry leaders from around the world to Germany for a few days of networking, presentations, and overall collaboration.
During our visit to Frankfurt, we got to meet plenty of new people, check in on old friends, and even host our own happy hour. Just as importantly, we gained plenty of insight into the players in the additive manufacturing market, what to keep an eye out for in the next year, and more.
We are always especially excited to see our partners at events, and for Formnext 2024 we want to give a shoutout to nTop, Synera, HP, Trumpf, Fraunhofer, Dyndrite, and Materialise.
Key Takeaways from the Event
This year saw 864 exhibitors share their products, ideas, and innovations with nearly 35,000 visitors from all over the world. There were a few topics that stood out to us this year, with plenty of talk about product design optimization, implicit modeling, and generative design.
At the Tech Soft 3D booth, we had plenty going on. We got to show off our new look and new acquisitions. This was the first event where we were able to showcase some of our new industrial applications products. With the additions of SpinFire and Theorem to our product line, we were able to show off more ways than ever to serve our customers in the additive manufacturing market, including end users.
If you weren't able to attend, don’t worry: you can still check out the demo we showcased for HOOPS, CEETRON, Polygonica, and SpinFire.
For the end users out there, you can check out this cool breakdown of the new 3D printers launched or showcased at Formnext 2024.
Some conclusive evidence we aren’t all work and no play: we had the chance to host our own happy hour on the Wednesday of the event, with some fun Tech Soft 3D themed drinks. It was a great way to relax and chat with people after an eventful day, with a special shoutout to our friends and MachineWorks for stopping by.
Formnext is an event we have plenty of experience with - we were proud to give a presentation on building software for additive manufacturing back in 2020.
Tech Soft 3D and Additive Manufacturing
Additive manufacturing is a market Tech Soft 3D has a ton of experience serving. With reliable CAD data access through HOOPS Exchange, advanced visualization capabilities with HOOPS Communicator and HOOPS Visualize, and being a proud reseller of Polygonica, we are here to support your additive manufacturing application development needs.
Below, you can find a walkthrough on additive manufacturing workflows with HOOPS Communicator and a webinar we gave a few years ago on developing additive manufacturing software. To learn more about any of our products, ask a question, or for just about anything else, get in touch!
