Tech Soft 3D HOOPS Platforms 2020 Optimize Manufacturing Processes and Digital Transformation
Support for new formats such as STEP-XML, improved geometry and semantic data support, and tighter integrations between toolkits result in unprecedented optimization for manufacturing software
March 10, 2020 – BEND, Oregon – Tech Soft 3D, the leading provider of software development toolkits to engineering software companies, today announces the release of the HOOPS Platform 2020, HOOPS Native Platform 2020 and HOOPS Web Platform 2020, integrated technology for developing top-tier 3D software with high performance 3D graphics, accurate and fast CAD data translation, 3D data publishing and strong connections to popular modeling kernels. The 2020 release enhances the value of HOOPS Platform technology with targeted functionality and performance upgrades designed for next-level development.
“Our HOOPS Platforms are more powerful than ever, and no other toolkit platform on the market is as robust and supports as many 3D formats as the HOOPS Platforms,” said Gavin Bridgeman, CTO of Tech Soft 3D. “We invest heavily in making sure that our partners have the absolute best tools for CAD data access and 3D graphics that help them maintain their edge in their industries and create innovative, reliable engineering software.”
For 2020, the HOOPS Web Platform has a new evaluation and developer learning experience, where developers can interact with a new demo web viewer and explore all the engineering specific features that can strengthen a 3D web application. Developers can download the HOOPS Web Platform SDK and immediately begin building 3D web applications – import more than 30 CAD file formats and produce stunning 3D web graphics. A new getting started guide, programming guide, tutorials and a developer forum help developers get up and running immediately.
All of the HOOPS Platforms 2020 now support the STEP-XML Reader, a CAD interoperability format. The Platforms also include support for the most recent versions of NX, Solid Edge, CATIA, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, Parasolid and ACIS. Improvements in geometric functions guarantee BREP consistency in targeted applications, and new progress bars track the progress of heavy process functions such as Converting BREP to Nurbs and Model Sewing. Additionally, improvements to the HOOPS Exchange and Parasolid integration now allow conversion of large tessellated models to the Siemens Parasolid kernel.
Tech Soft 3D software tools have powered applications from hundreds of top engineering software companies. In a dynamic marketplace with shifting opportunities, competitors and challenges, component technology or software development kits (SDKs) can free Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to focus on innovation and product differentiation. Tech Soft 3D compounds this benefit with the HOOPS Platforms – tightly integrated SDKs and modeling kernels and complementary functionality to provide unparalleled 3D data exchange, 3D visualization, and 3D data publishing.
